As an important part of the strategy of rejuvenating the country through science and education, secondary vocational education is a very important way to get educated after the compulsory education. And it plays a vital role in the whole vocational education. In recent years, vocational schools recruit students more and more, so that there is more and more task for teachers to accomplish, and the requirement from their school and the society becomes more and more strict. But the quality of students has no change, teachers’ salary didn’t grow, the unscientific appraisal system, the bad work environment, inefficient training system, lack of promotion system, low sense of achievement, all those factors have a direct impact on secondary vocational teachers’ job satisfaction, so that secondary vocational teachers’ subjective initiative and motivation cannot be effectively stimulated.In this case, this research has important practical significance. First, through the survey of Chongqing L vocational school, we can understand and grasp the teachers’ job satisfaction, so that it can provide a reference for the school to optimize the management system. Second, the findings of this paper can provide a reference for other secondary vocational schools in Chongqing, help the education authorities of Chongqing formulate relevant policies, and promote the development of secondary vocational schools in Chongqing. Third, the conclusions of this paper can also provide a reference for the development of secondary vocational education in other areas of China.Through the questionnaires, the writer found that the teachers from Chongqing L vocational school generally have low job satisfaction. Among them, teachers’ job satisfaction with the income is the lowest and interpersonal relationship is relatively high. And teachers’ job satisfaction with work stress, management systems, training and promotion mechanisms, management communication needs to be improved.Compared to male teachers, female teachers’ job satisfaction is slightly higher. Professional Teachers’ satisfaction is slightly higher than Literacy Teachers’; older teachers’ job satisfaction is higher than young teachers’; teachers’ with the formal establishment have higher job satisfaction than external teachers’.In the income aspect, the main factor is low income levels, inequality in income distribution and the income is not timely paid. In aspect of communication and management of the school system, unreasonable rules and regulations, lack of communication mechanism between the upper and lower levels are the major factors. In aspect of work itself, the main reasons are the work pressure is high, work environment is crowded, facilities is not good enough, social acceptance is not high, the quality of students is low.Based on the above findings, I made specific recommendations from the national level, the school level and teacher level. At the national level, it is recommended to create an atmosphere of value secondary vocational education, provide more opportunities to practices in industry, provide preferential policies for secondary vocational education, improve the treatment of teachers, provide training opportunities; At the school level, building a harmonious campus environment and establish a reasonable pay incentives are key. At teacher level, teachers should explore methods of teaching, and continuously improve their professional level.
