A Study On Career Education In High School Chemistry Education

Career education is a comprehensive form of education, which can guide students’ future development in many fields, such as in professional knowledge, self planning, career direction, goal of life,and also an essential part of the common education of senior school. Nowadays, although there are many researches about career education,the majority of them are only focused on theory research, the researches penetrating the concept of career education in subject teaching are rare, especial in the subject of chemistry, are almost blank.The purpose of this research are to analyze the connotative meaning of career education and its content in chemistry teaching, to research the present situation of career education in senior schools and the penetrating strategy of it in the subject of chemistry by using the main methods of literature and questionnaire survey.The analysis of career education in chemistry shows that:(1) the requirements of "standard chemistry curriculum for high school" to career education do undirected exists.(2) The textbooks of people’s teaching edition contain some career education contents, they only have a relatively shallow introduction.The research of the present situation of professional career life indicates that:(1) In Hebei province, ordinary high school almost did not make career education to students;(2) Chemistry teachers are generally in a situation of lacking understandings of career education, they didn’t combine the chemical education to the career education;(3) Because most senior school students have a unclear concept of self-perception and planning, and always unwise on making decisions in the choice of subjects and professions, so they are eagerly to receive the education in professional career life.(4)There are many factors influenced in the penetration of career life in chemical teaching like chemistry teachers, schools, students, families and society.(5) There are exactly exists some certain difficulties in the penetration of career education in chemical teaching, compared with the great expectations from teachers, students and parents.So, according to the above research, I’d like to give several advices in the chemistry career education:(1) We should upgrade chemistry teachers’ the concepts and promote their abilities in their career life.(2) We should develop more career education resources;(3) Pay more attention to the combination of theory and practice;(4) Improve the evaluation mechanism and system, etc. And I’m looking forward make some contribution to the development of career education in high school.
