In the era of mass higher education from elitism to massification, the proportion of the young teachers in colleges and universities increase gradually. At present, the professional development of young teachers in colleges and universities, have been developed one of important factors to restrict the quality of talent cultivation. More and more scholars begin to pay close attention to young university teachers’ professional development, such as research about the teaching ability, after the training, etc, which hope to find the best way to promote the development of young teachers’ professional development. With the deepening of the research, some people have realized that in addition to rely on the state and the power of the government to promote the professional development of young teachers in colleges and universities. The school should bear corresponding responsibility, which based on the school; the school can free use of all kinds of education resources to provide the conditions for the professional development of teachers.In this study, the following main aspects:firstly, we should determination and certification the four concepts:school-based, teacher’s professional development, young teachers in colleges and universities, and School-based College Young Teachers’Professional Development. Secondly, through the theory of lifelong learning, adult learning theory and the professional development stage theory of young university teachers are analyzed to provide the theoretical basis for the research. Thirdly, though analysis and comparison the policy of young teacher professional development about three universities:A University (comprehensive), B University (science and engineering), and C University, In order to understand the similarities and differences of the different types of colleges and universities, which make policies and implement activities to promote the professional development of college young teachers. Fourthly, though the questionnaire survey of A university young teachers to understand the effect of school policies and activities. Then, analyze the results of the survey. Fifthly, analyze the problems that exist in the young teachers’ professional development of Lanzhou University with the questionnaire results, and then put forward some measures for young teachers’ professional development on school standard.
