With the deepening reform of the new geography curriculum, it is of great significance to study the students’interest in learning geography, which can enhance the vitality of geography teaching, enrich the contents of the geography curriculum, implement reform idea of the new curriculum, and change the geography teaching methods and students learning style. The new geography curriculum standards not only requires the geography curriculum to cultivate students’learning useful geographical knowledge for life, but also has a responsibility and obligation to cultivate the students’interest in geography learning. Therefore, cultivating the students’study interest is conducive to improve students’initiative of learning geography, and encourage them to more actively to learn geography.Many research methods are adopted in this paper like:literature research, questionnaire survey method and system analysis method. The basic framework of this paper:first, using the literature research to expound the study background and significance, research status at home and abroad, the concept of interest, classification and research methods, the content and related basic theory. Secondly, the method of questionnaire survey was implemented. Through a questionnaire concerning the geography study interest in the Changsha yuelu experimental middle school in changsha city (NO. Eighteen middle school), this paper has get an clear understanding of the present condition of the students’interest in geography learning and some problems, such as the geography study interest of high students are in a volatility stage; the geography study interest high students is generally low; there lacks a necessary connection between students, teachers, parents and school. In the view of the existing problems in the survey, through the analysis and summary, this paper puts forward corresponding countermeasures of cultivating high student geography study interest from students, teachers, school and family, measures for student include:overcome fear, enhance action consciousness, frequently make thinking and summary; measures for teachers include:improve teaching methods, change teaching methods, creat harmonious relationship between teachers and students; measures for school include:strengthen the teaching safeguard, emphasis the discipline construction; measures for family include: abandon only point theory and build a learning family. Finally, through the basis of a separate analysis of the four elements, this paper makes an analysis of how to improve geographic learning interest from the connection between the four essential factors of students, teachers, school and family.This paper shows that the studying interest plays a very important role in students learning process. In the conclusion, this paper suggests that giving full play of the double subjectivity status of the teachers and students, actively cooperating with secondary school and family, perfecting the mutual mechanism between the our aspects of students, teachers, school and family (it is ignored by scholars in the related studies before), have an important and promoting role in stimulating students’interest and geography learning.Innovations of this paper is taking the subjectivity theory as a base, bringing the various factors in the overall analysis category, and taking students’ practice activities for example, to provide a reference model mechanism of interactions between the various elements.
