Although the secondary vocational education develops rapidly under the attention of the state and society, the problems about the low threshold of secondary vocational school and poor students’ comprehensive quality are still prominent. Faced with these difficulties, it is difficult to change the secondary vocational school students’ learning efficiency that only depends on the traditional teaching way and lets the students mechanical learning. It’s need to change the teaching mode of secondary vocational schools. Concept map can show clearly the essence of knowledge meaning construction, put knowledge concept to schema, reveal the relationship between knowledge and build a knowledge system as a kind of effective teaching tool. This paper improves teachers’ teaching skills, cultivates the students’ interest in learning, diffuses the students’ divergent thinking, promotes the students’ ability of team work and so on with the aid of concept maps in teaching.This paper is divided into three parts: The first part is mainly for the purpose of the research background and significance of this paper, the concept of classification and a simple introduction the make, and concept application in the teaching of theoretical basis and research status at home and abroad about concept map; The second part is the important content of this paper, that is the application of concept map in the secondary vocational school, through the questionnaire survey to understand the current situation of secondary vocational students learning computer courses, the application of concept map teaching design, the implementation in the experimental class; The third part is the analysis of experimental results, that mainly confirms the result of the experiment that concept map teaching can improve secondary vocational school students’ academic performance and interest in learning through the questionnaire survey method, comparative method and the interview.
