In recent years, with the implementation of education reform and the development of new curriculum, teachers should not only be teaching practitioners, but also be learners and researchers. “A teacher as a researcher” has become the consensus of the majority of teachers. Each teacher must master the teaching research knowledge and scientific methods to learn how to carry out teaching research. Improving teachers’ teaching research capacity is an important way to promote the professional development of teachers. However, during teachers’ teaching research activities, there is a “two-skin” phenomenon of theory and practice which means the separation of theory and practice. This phenomenon largely affected the effectiveness of teaching research work. Lesson study is a way of teachers’ continuing education proposed for the separation of “teaching” and “research” during the teaching research work.This study explores the structural elements’ development and change of high school Information and Technology teachers’ teaching research capacities based on "Lesson Study" with Information Technology teacher trainees as objects of this study and the “National Teacher Training Program” Teacher replacement full-time training project as the basis of this study. This study includes six parts:Part one is an introduction. The introduction includes the research background and issues, specifically the content and purpose of this research and scientific research methods, etc.Part two is the theoretical overview. It includes teaching research capacity overview and Lesson Study overview, and describes the relevant theoretical basis of this study.Part three is the status investigation and analysis of teacher’s teaching research capacities. This study presents precedent questionnaire before the Lesson Study of the high school Information and Technology teachers to master their current situation and levels of teaching research, makes a statistical analysis of the survey results, obtains that Information and Technology teachers need to improve their teaching research capacities.Part four is the practical research. This study sets up an operational Lesson Study model during Information and Technology teacher’s training from organizational mechanisms, theory promotion and the practice study. At the same time, this study selects a “perfect family” as a case and analyzes Lesson Study processes of ten teachers.Part five is the practical effect study. After teacher’s Lesson Study practice, this study investigates and analyzes the different structural elements change of high school Information and Technology teachers’ teaching research capacities through questionnaires and interviews.Part six is the conclusion and outlook. It includes the main conclusions and prospects for the future research.
