Music education is an important and essential part in the education, an important way of promoting the implementation of aesthetic education, playing an important role in shaping students’ healthy personality and promoting the overall quality of citizens. The importance of music education is gradually recognized by people to an unprecedented height. The speed of educational development in our country is rather quick, but regional development between urban and rural areas is unbalanced and has a gap, rural education is relatively worse, especially rural music education development. Hebei Province is a big education province in education, the education situation of Hengshui city is one of the best cities in the province, but rural education in Hengshui area is not very ideal, especially rural music education. The author, born in Hengshui, face such serious situation, thinking it is necessary to do a research on rural junior school music education in Hebei Province. During the period of 2011 to2013, the author had been a teacher in the local village schools, so she was familiar with the local music education environment, at the same time, she also found a lot of problems in the process. The author hope through this study to understand actual situation of rural music education in Hengshui area, to present you more real conditions, making people pay more attention to the countryside junior middle school music education.In this paper, the author selected three representative rural junior middle schools in Hengshui rural area as investigation objects, the three schools were Wuqiang Second Experiment Middle School, Zhengkou Yucai Middle School,Zaoqiang the fourth Middle School. The author use the questionnaires survey method, interviewing method, observation method and other methods combined in the investigation.Questionnaires addresses the issue of student’ interest in music, according to the Likert five-point measurement method, based on the simple and reasonable principles,easy to operate, the questionnaire is designed in five dimensions, to understand the countryside junior middle school students’ satisfaction in music class, teaching material, recognition of the importance of music degree, etc. And do detailed interviews on the school leaders, the teachers, teaching facilities and campus music activities and so on. All data about the investigation contents and data statistics are sorted, analysed, to get the present rural junior middle school music education situation of the real number of information in Hengshui area, as important facts basis of this topic research.Through the investigation of three countryside junior middle schools’ present situation in Hengshui area in extension and detail, it will be objective and true. A series of factors are thought of and researched, in order to improve the present situation of rural music education and put it forward. More people can see the reality of countryside junior middle schools’ music education through this study, to call for more attention to and promote the rural music education, making her own contributions to the development of rural music education.
