The relationship between teachers and students is formed during the educational process in the teaching procedure which includes their respective position, function and attitude to each other. Harmonious relationship between teachers and students means equality in personality, democracy in interactive activities and harmonization in cooperation. It embodies attributes of democracy and equality, respect and trust, understanding and cooperation.Building harmonious relationship between teachers and students caters to the desire for the development both in society and in education. Besides, it is also an objective request that carries out the modern harmonious campus and sustainable development for school. What’s more, it exerts a positive effect on teachers’ smooth and effective teaching, mental and physical health between teachers and students, improving teachers’ occupational satisfaction.The main factors which influence the harmonious relationship in class teaching contains teachers’ speech, action, teaching method, their attitude to students and teaching and their evaluation method. However, there are still some factors in depth which hinders the harmonious relationship, such as the exam-oriented education system, constraints from traditional culture, ignoring students’ psychological characteristics and lack of emotional engagement.According to the psychological characteristics of junior middle school students, based on the theory of people-oriented education, the theory of Multiple Intelligences and the Harmonious Education theory, this essay proposes some concrete constructive strategies. In order to respect students, teachers should change their traditional concept about education and students. They should also love their students with more emotional engagement. It is important for teachers to change the teaching method into student-centered method. Constructing multiple evaluation on class teaching is good for students’ development. The harmonious relationship between teachers and students proves to be better improved by using the above strategies after the exploration of a semester.
