In order to investigate and analyze the math studying in the transition period from rural junior secondary school to senior high school, this thesis adopts the questionnaires, repetitive interviews, and case study methods.According to investigating and analyzing the store of knowledge, learning methods, learning habits, thinking styles, essential skills, thoughts and the psychological preparation of the graduates of junior secondary school, this thesis finds the main problems existing among the transitional period about math learning.The main problems are the following:For the students, the learning methods and habits in junior high school are nothing like that of in senior high school. From the school aspects, there are big differences between the teaching styles, textbooks, and the curriculum reformation. For the parents, there is not enough guidance for their children about the math learning. From the social media aspects, they advocate a negative attitude to the study in school.All these problems lead to the students’ insufficient motivation in the transitional period.Based on the goals of the curriculum standard, characteristics of math learning in senior high school,and the requirements for the students,this thesis puts forwards these strategies,including the students’ self-improvement strategies, teachers’ promotion strategies school’s security strategies and so on.About students’ self-improvement strategies, they are efficient improvement, concentration on the key points, learning to give up, summary and conclusion; about teachers’ promotion strategies, they are textbook study, integrating theory with practice,optimizing the teaching styles, and guidance for students and parents.
