While in the process of scientific and research topic selection, the preparation, research and completion of the S&R topic, the medical post-graduates need to identify the medical information requirements, be qualified with the ability to gain, estimate, analyze and communicate the academic information. Moreover, in the process of S&R, the medical post-graduates must be qualified with the basic academic information ethics. Therefore, the medical post-graduates’ levels of the academic information literacy in their face of a large amount of S&R information are sure to affect their ability to find and solve the problems and make innovative achievements as well. The Purpose of ResearchBy surveying the existing literature, clarifying academic information literacy (AIL), and by combing the method of the qualitative & quantitative research, it was constructed of the medical post-graduates evaluation index system of academic information literacy. The academic information literacy evaluation questionnaire has been organized well and effectively. Taking the under post-graduates of the Bengbu Medical College for example, the empirical study on the academic information literacy status of them is to explore the influence factors. The Methods of Research(1) The construction of evaluation index system of the academic information literacy of the medical post-graduates.Combining with the literature survey method and the brainstorm method, the draft of the medical postgraduate academic information literacy evaluation system is to be constructed. After three rounds of consultation about the Delphi method, the evaluation index system was confirmed, and the Academic Information Literacy Evaluation Index system of the medical post-graduates was constructed.(2) The demonstration and investigation of the medical postgraduate academic information literacy"The medical postgraduate academic information literacy questionnaire" was compiled to revise the questionnaire items by using the Delphi method; through the pre-survey to test the internal consistency of the questionnaire and the test-retest reliability and to evaluate the content validity, and to modify the questionnaire items.By training the investigators, and on the basis of the graduates enrollment stutes of Benbu Medical College in recent years, and according to the grade, the classification of the participants to different levels and layers into the class as a unit, a random sample of the under post-graduates was used as the investigation objects about the AIL items.(3) The Research on the influencing factors of the academic information literacy of the medical post-graduatesBy application of the single factor analysis, from the gender, age, admission type (fresh/graduates), the degree type, grade and the profession type, altogether the five aspects to examine the difference of AIL in different groups, to describe the difference between the different dimensions of the investigating objects in different groups of the academic information literacy and to establish the Multiple Linear Regression Model to make the regression analysis on the data of academic information literacy questionnaire, by doing so to explore the influential factors of the medical post-graduate academic information literacy. The Results of ResearchThis study present a medical post-graduates’ AIL estimating index system, included three first dimensions(academic information consciousness, academic information skill, and academic information ethic), nine second indexes and forty-one third indexes.Based on the previous achievements, we compiled AIL evaluation questionnaire for the medical postgraduate with good content validity, internal consistency, and test-retest reliability. The total average score of the present survey of the medical post-graduates’ AIL was79.52 points, the academic information moral present the highest score (mean=87.62); secondly was the academic information consciousness (mean=82.16), and the lowest score was academic information skill (mean=68.78). The results suggested further efforts should focus on the strengthening of academic information skill for the medical graduate student academic information promotion. The results of multiple factors analysis of the medical post-graduates’ AIL suggested, grade (p=0.184, P=0.002) and enrollment types (p=-0.194, P=0.005) are very important factors; the gender impact on the academic information literacy mainly lied in the influence on the medical post-graduates’ academic information ability (p=-0.125, P=0.030); the degree type impact on the medicine post-graduates’ academic information consciousness (P=-0.169, P=0.004) and academic information capacity (P=-0.118, P=0.043) also showed statistical significance; While the subject classification and the ages in the present data study showed no influence on the medical post-graduates (P> 0.05).Conclusion and AdviceThe results of the data analysis indicated the estimating method of the research about the medical post-graduates’ AIL is scientific and effective. The level of the post-graduates’ AIL, especially their academic information ability level needs to be improved. The results of this research suggested that the cultivating work of the medical post-graduates’ academic information literacy should become an important topic of the post-graduates’ education, and meanwhile through the whole process of it.
