Lately sprung in British education- “Learning Power” is about how to learn. Now the theory is going through localization in China. It is mainly about the attendance and attitude of learning and learning values, which is consisted of 7 dimensions of ideas which are changing and learning, meaning making, and critical curiosity, creativity, learning relationship, strategic awareness and resilience. We can combine the seven dimensions of “learning power” with the middle school history curriculum, which will guide the teaching and learning of middle school history teachers and their students.There are mainly four parts in this thesis. The first part mainly introduced the “Learning Power” theory and studies on how to improve the learning power under the new reform of middle school curriculum. The second part mainly analyzed the way to combine the seven dimensions of learning power and middle school history teaching. The third part is about the principles and strategies which can improve the history learning power of students under the new curriculum reform. “Teaching different students with different methods” and “encouragement education” are examples of them. The fourth part mainly discussed the meaning of improve the history learning power of middle school students.
