Chemistry is a kind of natural science which studies the nature, composition, structure, change, use and preparation of substance and the physical regular change. Learning the knowledge of physical structure is the top priority in the chemistry teaching. The knowledge of chemistry physical structure in junior lays the foundation for students to learn physical structure while the chemistry teaching of senior aims carries out a higher level education on the basis of it in junior chemistry. Therefore, it is a necessary step and way to connect the teaching of physical structure in both junior and senior. In this way, we can narrow the gap of the knowledge between junior and senior and improve the quality of teaching chemistry physical structure in both junior and senior.The paper is studying the chemistry textbooks in junior and senior with a view to the link of physical structure under the guidance of basic structure theory, constructivism theory, and the principles of building a textbook system. It aims to provide theoretical support to the reformation of teaching way for chemical teachers for teaching physical structure in junior and senior and put forward suggestions for the teaching of complete link on physical structure between junior and senior in order to narrow the gap on the knowledge between junior and senior. The studying on the link of physical structure of the PEP textbooks between junior and senior, the paper elaborates the research background on the link of physical structure in textbooks from four aspects such as the reformation of chemical curriculum, standard of the chemical curriculum, the psychological change of students and ways of teaching in both junior and senior as well as proposes the significance of studying the link of physical structure of textbooks in junior and senior. The paper summarizes the research status of physical structure and the link of chemical teaching, it points out that the current study was to research the broad connection between middle and high school chemistry teaching, but there is little of specific research on the convergence of the physical structure system. In order to solve this problem, the paper analyzes from three aspects such as the atomic structure, molecular structure and crystal structure under the guidance of subject basic structure theory, constructivism theory, and the principles of building a textbook system. It research on the link of requirement for physical structure knowledge in junior and senior chemical curriculum standards for middle school curriculums, high school compulsory curriculum, and high school elective curriculum of the ‘structure and properties of matter’ as well as the link of physical structure knowledge in junior school chemistry textbooks, compulsory senior chemistry textbook, and elective senior chemistry 3 textbook of ‘structure and properties of matter’. The study shows that the link-up of atomic structure knowledge is appropriate in the knowledge system of physical structure in both junior and senior. In the link-up of molecular structure knowledge, there is a lack of link-up for bond in the optional course 3 of senior chemistry. In the link-up of crystal structure knowledge, the junior chemistry is not involved in the knowledge of crystal structure and the senior chemistry is a little about it which increases the burden on students to learn and makes it difficult for students to learn about the knowledge of crystal structure. Therefore, the paper proposes specific teaching suggestions and the teaching case for the link of physical structure knowledge in junior and senior.At last, the paper concludes that teachers should be noted convergence of knowledge before teaching the knowledge of physical structure. At the end of the class, junior teachers should extend the knowledge of physical structure to attract the interest of students and pave the way for teaching high school physical structure. When high school teachers teach the physical structure knowledge for senior course 1, they should give a test on the knowledge of that students have learnt in order to know the students’ mastery and guide classes based on it, at the end of the class, teachers can further continue the instruction on the knowledge of physical structure to help students to build a complete system of the knowledge of physical structure.
