With the further development of the new curriculum reform, middle schools’politics course and politics teaching were given the new duty and training objectives. The teaching of middle schools’ politics course need to react to the essential concept and spirit of curriculum reform and to realize the change of the idea and behavior. In the education at school, the students’ political knowledge, political awareness, political ability and the socialist political direction and the cultivation of political acuity of the students are dependent on effective development of political lesson in Middle School. However, the teaching of politics course in middle schools at present stage still exist many problems and shortcomings, which badly affect the realization of value of the politics course. So, under the background of the new curriculum reform, exploring those problems exist in the teaching of politics course in middle schools and the cause for emergence, and finding the solutions to solve those problems on that basis are of great significance to improve the current situation of politics course in middle schools, promote the effectiveness and realize the value of politics course. The paper discusses as following three parts.By the method of literature research, the introduction briefly introduces middle school’s current teaching situations of other subjects in China under the background of new curriculum reform, by comparing politics with other subjects, derives the background and the meaning of the research of politics teaching in middle school. Then it explains the relative overseas and domestic research in a simple and general way. Finally it summarizes the research thoughts and approaches in finishing this paper.In the first part, it constructs the analytical framework of current teaching situations of middle schools’politics course. By comparing the domestic scholar’s analysis of the elements of politics teaching in middle school, it comes up with the six aspects of analysis of politics teaching in middle school, which includes the teacher’s understanding of the course, realization of politics teaching, and the method, contents, evaluation and resource exploitation of politics teaching.In the second part, combining with the analytical framework of politics teaching in middle school constructed in the first part, it analyzes the current situations and problems exist in the current middle schools’politics teaching by the interview method from seven aspects.In the third part, aiming at the problems exist in the current middle schools’politics teaching, it presents the practical appeal of improving the current politics teaching in middle school from the aspects of theory and practice, clarifies the four basic requirements of improving the current politics teaching in middle school and comes up with five specific teaching strategy.
