As a kind of massive open online courses, MOOCs has been rapidly applied in Hig her Education in China. Because it is not limited by time and space, and provides high-quality educational resources and learning platforms for learners, MOOCs will bring a ne w approach and a new perspective to the teaching reform of the Ideological and Political Theory Course in colleges and universities. At present, MOOCs has become a heat topi c in the teaching reform of Ideological and Political Theory Course. Multiple universities like Tsinghua University, Fudan University, Renmin University of China have explored, developed and used MOOCs in their ideological and political theory course. Based on su rveys of MOOCs’s application in Ideological and Political Theory Course and the theore tical basis, this study adopts multiple methods, namely literature research, comparative res earch, comprehensive analysis the multi-disciplinary integration, combining with cases ana lysis, to analyze the strengths, weakness, opportunity, threats of the MOOCs in ideologic al and political theory course. Meanwhile, this thesis attempts to systematically explore t he strategies for MOOCs used in the Ideological and Political Theory Course and provid e some theoretical references for its practice.The innovation of this study is as follows. First, it deeply analyzes strengthes, weak ness, opportunity, threats for the MOOCs teaching. Second, it puts forward the specific s trategies for three stages of the MOOCs. Third, it puts forward some operational recomm endations to each aspect of MOOCs, such as learning, communication, discussion practice .etc.This study is divided into six parts:The first part is introduction. This part mainly elaborates the basic information of th e research, such as origin, significance and methods.etc.The second part is the literature review of the MOOCs’ development in the field of higher education in China. This part mainly introduces the application of the MOOCs i n the field of higher education,in China especially in Ideological and Political Theory C ourse, and it also makes a theoretical exploration on the key connotation of the connotati on of MOOCs.The third part is the research of the theoretical basis of MOOCs applied in the Ideo logical and Political Theory Course, namely, Marx’s theory on the human’s overall develo pment, connectivism learning theory, behaviorism learning theory, constructivism learning theory.etc. All the above are the theoretical basis for the study of MOOCs.The fourth part is a comparative analysis of the MOOCs teaching and traditional tea ching. This part compared MOOCs with traditional teaching from the teaching time and space, teachers’teaching methods, occupation roles, occupation ability requirements, stude nts’learning attitude, learning methods, learning effect, approaches of teaching feedbacks.The fifth part is the SWOT analysis of MOOCs in Ideological and Political Theory Course. This chapter analyzes the strength, weakness, opportunity, threat of MOOCs. The strengths are mainly reflected in increasing education permeability, enhancing the attracti on and appealing of the class, advancing teachers’ leading position, strengthening the stud ents’dominant roles; the weakness are the failure showcase of the teachers’personality c harm, the lack of the practice teaching and the tendency of students’"high-tech low emo tional"; the opportunity is that MOOCs can help Ideological and Political Theory Cours e become networked, real-time, interactive, equal, autonomic, interesting; the threat is that MOOCs brings new requirements on teaching mode, teaching contents, teachers, students, teaching assessment for Ideological and political theory course.The sixth part is analysis of strategies of MOOCs’s application in Ideological and P olitical Theory Course. It discusses the specific application of MOOCs in the teaching pr ocess, including pre-class, while-class and after-class. It also puts forward scientific and f easible countermeasures and suggestion. Besides, it still discusses the key problems like how to construct logical MOOCs teaching, how to operate online learning and the offline communication, how to organize the classroom discussion and how to combine the onli ne learning, offline discussion and after-class practice.etc.
