With the implementation of the new high school curriculum reform in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in 2012, a new high school curriculum reform experiment has been carried out formally through whole country, declaring a new chapter in China’s education. As the first experimental students of the new high school curriculum reform, they will be put to the college entrance exam in 2015. Meanwhile, another group of teachers, acting as direct participants of the new curriculum, will also be put to the test. A great deal of experience in classroom instruction has been accumulated through the three-year explorations and attempts. Success and failures are coexistent. Therefore, the focus of this study is how to make good use of these experiences and lessons to promote the cultivation and growth of new teachers.Aiming at cultivating normal talents and promoting education reform and development in Guangxi areas, Guangxi Normal University has always attached great importance to the training of new teachers. Guangxi’s implementation of the new high school curriculum reform not only changes the education style of high school, but also delivers a tremendous impact on developing normal students, which points to a new direction for future normal education.According to the development targets and requirements proposed by the new high school curriculum reform, taking Physical Science and Technology in Guangxi Normal University as the study object, the thesis is committed to the reform of curriculum plan, class instruction and educational practice in which way that high normal universities develops their Normal students. On the basis of analyzing the background and content of the new curriculum reform, the research mainly adopts literature research, questionnaires, interviews and other methods and investigates the development and improvement made by Guangxi Normal University in teacher education curriculum so as to meet the new requirements. The deficiencies and shortcomings are being pointed out, and so are the relevant recommendations for improvement. This study was designed to provide assistance and reference in promoting the development and reform of higher normal Education in Guangxi region, improving the level of training of new teachers in Guangxi, and promoting the new high school curriculum reform in Guangxi.Thesis consists of six parts.The first part makes an introduction to the current researches at home and abroad, and gives a succinct analysis of the situations of curriculum reform and teacher development. The author then puts forward the issues, purposes and significance of the study and lists the research methods used during the process.The history and content of the new curriculum reform are being presented in the second part.The third part gives a brief introduction to the new curriculum on the history and the background of the new curriculum in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, showing the effects of the new curriculum on the comprehensive development promotion of the Guangxi region. Meanwhile, the thesis carries out analyzing the new curriculum development direction and focus from several aspects, such as policy guidance, investment in education, curriculum, higher education development and construction of teachers. On this basis the thesis indicates the problems exposed under the background of the New Curriculum on Higher Normal Education.The fourth part mainly analyzes the Normal Education in Guangxi Normal University against the backdrop of the New Curriculum, which elaborates on position-training and mode-cultivating of undergraduates. Moreover, the thesis unfolds the cultivating approaches, talent positioning, major construction, innovation and reform of undergraduate normal education in Guangxi Normal University. Combined with peer teaching method, scientific inquiry, experimental realia perfection and other cases, the author describes the improvement and optimization in discipline construction and class teaching of Guangxi Normal University’s coping with the new high school curriculum reform.The fifth part takes Physical Science and Technology College in Guangxi Normal University as the study object, investigating the impact of teaching reform on normal students’ professional competence and teaching skills from the aspects of class teaching and educational practice. Judging from the results of interviews and questionnaires, the author intends to put forward evaluations and further suggestions.In accordance with the graduating situation of Undergraduate Normal Students, the last part is to make a summary of normal training mode and cultivating recommendations.
