Inquiry learning, as advocated by the new curriculum teaching and learning philosophy, which advocates teaching in all subjects for all students to conduct an effective inquiry-based learning. Inquiry learning is not adapted to the new standards proposed new curriculum for the classroom, but also in line with the development of the characteristics of the student body and mind. In high school music teaching inquiry-based learning application will not only help to stimulate students ’sense of exploration, students actively participate in the creation of discovery and exploration of consciousness, but also to develop students’ practical ability, the ability to explore. However, due to the understanding of inquiry-based learning and research, there are still insufficient, leading to the current inquiry learning in high school music teaching is facing many obstacles. I, as a job going into the education of prospective teachers, deeply felt responsibility on the shoulders of the great, so I hope that through this research can actually work for inquiry-based learning in high school musical play an active role in trace.The issue with inquiry-based learning in high school music teaching of the main object of study, the subject is divided into four parts, the first part is an introduction; the second part of the theory of inquiry-based learning content were elaborated; the third part is the application status inquiry-based learning in high school music teaching, analysis of the status quo and the remedies proposed by the author elaborated; part IV describes the application of inquiry-based learning strategies in high school music teaching, teaching cases display and reflection.
