The Transformation And Teaching Strategy Research Of Chinese Modern And Contemporary Novels Extracted By High School Language Teaching Materials

Different periods of language teaching material reflects the social aspect of the different times atthe same time, it is also the embodiment of the values of education, education goal.ChineseModern and contemporary fiction is an important media for the improvement of thestudens’connoisseurship, aesthetic judgment and critical ability in Chinese literature.Furthermore, it concerns much with the sound development of the senior students’world views, values and their outlook towards life. Based on the five different editionschosen in the year of1978,1982,1990,2003,2004by the People’s Education Press, mythesis mainly studies the evolvement of some Chinese modern and contemporaryfictions by figuring out which fictions have still remained in Chinese textbooks, whichhave once been in textbooks and later deleted and which are chosen in. The causes ofthe evolvement of work selection and deletion can be illustrated from the following3aspects if we lay emphasis on text analyzing: the changes of political background andsocial environment; the shifting of the culture study trend and aesthetic style inliterature and the changes of the senior Chinese syllabus. And it’s by no means uneasyto find out that there still exists many problems in the Chinese modern andcontemporary fiction excerpt including insufficiency in amount, a lack of variation incontent and failure to keep pace with the times from the perspective of the status of theauthor, the influence of his works and the senior students’ comprehensive skills.Besides,problems begin to emerge in teaching process of the Chinese modern and contemporaryfiction due to little interest among the students in the course and inflexibility amongteachers in teaching methods. In order to solve these problems, it’s imperative that thesystem of Chinese textbook selection and edition be improved and the competence ofthe teachers in teaching the Chinese modern and contemporary fiction be strengthenedso that the students can get the essence of the Chinese culture and give full play to therole of humanities in Chinese literature.
