Strategies Employed To Alleviate The Anxiety Of College Students

With the development of higher education in our country, the number ofgraduates rising, employment pressure continuously growing, employment anxiety ofgraduates increasingly greater, researches on job anxiety have also been paid moreand more attention to. The Party Central Committee and the State Council, have beenregarding the employment of graduates as a top matter to the people’s livelihood, aswell as the State Ministry of Education issues a document requiring all colleges anduniversities to do the best in the graduates’ ideological and political education duringthe periods of seeking jobs, make it play a prominent role in the process, emphasizethat in the new era, the rising of positive psychology develops a new area forideological and political education. As result, ideological and political education cansettle the problem of graduates’ employment anxiety in the perspective of positivepsychology. This paper, in the basis of employment anxiety and related concepts ofpositive psychology, combined with the current realities of the employment anxiety ofgraduates, has analyzed the factors affecting the current employment of graduates’anxiety, and a further analysis has given us a prospection that in the new era, how wedo better to relate the integration of theory and methodology in positive psychology tothe ideological and political education during the whole time in colleges anduniversities, therefore relieving the employment anxiety of graduates. This paper isdivided into four sections in total.Part one is to show the study of the background, leading up to the full text. Itincludes the research background, significance of the topic, research status at homeand abroad to the subject, the whole writing idea of the paper, the selected articles andresearch methods as well as the innovation points and difficulties.Part two is the theoretical groundwork, explaining the concepts and theoreticalfoundations. Firstly, it makes an interpretation of the definition and the classificationof anxiety, then further analysis of the concept and role of employment anxiety.Secondly, there is a more comprehensive discussion on positive psychology,containing the emergence, influences and main related researches of positivepsychology. Positive psychology came into being in peacetime. Positive psychologyhas changed psychology attention to negative situations into positive ones, and hasproposed that to enhance the subjective well-being of mankind, a positive emotional experience, a positive personality assessment and positive organizational systemenvironment should be built, to find and develop self positive strength and qualitieson all sides. Finally, through the analysis of positive psychology, this part gives aninspiration that the ideological and political education can relieve graduates’employment anxiety. Positive psychology has provided a new horizon, new theoriestogether with new methods for graduates towards the employment anxietyPart three is to analyze the reality and the causes of graduates’ employmentanxiety and to be the basis of the subsequent research on the strategies. This partmainly focuses on studying the strategies of employment anxiety, in order to givegraduates more widely used strategies towards employment anxiety. When studyingthe reality of graduates’ employment, this paper applies the literature research methodand the inductive analysis. By searching the key words on China KnowledgeResource Integrated Database, the writer do a comprehensive analysis on the status ofgraduates’ employment anxiety, offering the foundation to the afterward research onthe strategies.Part four, the strategy research, is the focus of this paper including the difficultand innovation points. This part, aimed at current status of graduates’ employmentanxiety, putting the related theories and methods of positive psychology to use,combined with ideological and political education, Graduate Employment anxiety forthe current situation, make full use of relevant theories and methods of positivepsychology, combined with ideological and political education, has proposed a flowof strategies towards graduates’ employment anxiety, from the aspects of constructionof active employment emotions, development of a healthy personality andestablishment of employment support system.
