Research On The Development Status And Counterrmeasures Of Chinese Table Tennis Super League

The Chinese Table Tennis Super League (CTTSL) has obtained the huge achievement with over ten years of development. However, the CTTSL is still left behind the other developed leagues, for it’s not realized the marketization. It is necessary to deepen the reform to build a development pattern with Chinese characters in the league. Therefore, this paper is focus on the development status and strategies of CTTSL. The main hope of the writer is to explore the achievement of the league and provide the important reference for the further reform of the league.Using the research methods of documentation, expert interview and induction and deduction, this paper has researched and analyzed the evolution, current situation, internal and external environment of the CTTSL, and discussed some oountermeasures. On these grounds, the writer has reached the main conclusions as follows:1.The CTTSI, represents the highest level of the world table tennis league in terms of competition, reputation and influence. Meanwhile, it does reveal some problems of professionalization.2. The reasonable operation pattern of CTTSL ensures the league to develop in a smoothly and orderly way.3. The age structure of the athlete is reasonable; the athletes in the CTTSL are the top level in the world. Nowadays, the CTTSL involves many good young players, world champions and foreign stars.4. With the increasing investment of sponsor enterprises and the improvement of the club standardization construction in recent years, the CTTSL clubs has become more and more independent and professional.5. The source of revenue of CTTSL is limited, for the sponsorship fee accounts for nearly all of CTTSL’s revenue. Moreover, the sponsorship fee and the number of the sponsor are small. In summary, CTTSL is a little profitable in recent years, but the situation of total revenue is alarming.6. The attendance rates and the television ratings are unsatisfactory. In the season of2012, they have come down from two years earlier.7. There is a favorable macro-environment for the CTTSL; it provides a comfortable position and an important development opportunity. Meanwhile, CTTSL has to enhance advantage and avoid disadvantage, seize the chances and reply the challenges from all aspects.The countermeasures for the CTTSL are the followings:by deepening reform of the system to accelerate the entity process of CTTA; by launching a league company to realize the separation of the three powers; the modern enterprise management in professional club; pay attention to regard the league as the centre of promoting brand value; establish a publicity system of CTTSL and open up the new way through various channels; table tennis in our country should be led by the CTTSL to promote the development of various club events and mass sports.
