High school music appreciation course is one of the important area of study inmusic teaching, with the reform and development of basic education, our country’s"music course standard" concept of music, nature, target, teaching content andmethods, and so on with the new requirements, in this context, we should have newbreakthrough in teaching reform, in this information era of rapid development ofsociety, the high school music appreciation is to use information technology toimprove the teaching practice, to create a good classroom atmosphere for students, arteducation, multimedia technology can give full play to its advantages.This paper mainly introduces the basic concept, characteristics and functions ofmultimedia, and analysis of the current high school music teaching means, thelimitation of using the multimedia technology in the high school music classroomteaching of the feasibility and necessity, and discusses the reasonable use of theadvantages of multimedia assisted high school music teaching and significance, andthrough the classroom case analysis to further determine the multimedia technologyapplied in the high school music appreciation teaching penetration.
