Secondary vocational schools are important forces of China’s vocational education. Nowadays, our country’s secondary vocational school teacher trainings are on the path toward regularization and institutionalization, but still in its stage of development with so many deficiencies and aspects needed to be improved. There is little even no research when it comes to the cultivation of the teachers’ humanistic literacy. All trainings are aimed at the training of theory and operation of the professional knowledge; few trainings of humanistic literacy exists. In today’s China highlighting the "People-Oriented", the importance of the cultivation of teachers’ humanistic literacy is beyond doubt; it would influences the cultivation and improvement of students’ humanistic literacy. Thus strengthening the cultivation of the humanistic literacy and forming a team of high-quality vocational school teachers become an important and urgent task for the reform and development of the current vocational education. The method of cultivation, the content of cultivation, and the effectiveness improvement of cultivation have therefore become a research topic demanding studying and solving urgently. This paper surveys the current situation of teachers’ humanistic literacy cultivation with methods such as questionnaire and literature search, and upon the analysis of theory and practice, this paper gives its countermeasure and suggestions. The results of the research will to some certain extend be useful in guiding the cultivation of vocational teachers’ humanistic literacy toward regularization, institutionalization, professionalization and perfecting the system of humanistic literacy of the vocational teacher.
