With the rapid development of Chinese social economy, the nation requires the talents with applied technical skills more and more. In order to meet this requirement, the students who are cultivated by secondary vocational schools should not only have high technical skills, but also high occupational qualities. Humanistic quality is an important aspect of occupational qualities. However, the current situation is not satisfactory, which was somewhat related with lack of humanistic cultivation. The humanistic character of Chinese decides its advantage on cultivating students'humanistic quality, so we cultivate students'humanistic quality by teaching Chinese. The article discusses the humanistic cultivation strategies from four aspects: clarifying the course objective, adjusting the teaching materials, changing teaching methods and being assisted by extracurricular activities.
