The Study On The Effect Of Demographic Dividend On Economic Growth In Shaanxi Province

Population development and economic development are vital for the healthy andsteady development of human society. The relationship between the two is also knownas one of the most important issues during the development of human society. Thereare many demographic factors that can affect the economy, age included. This factorcan influence the population productivity and consumption so as to contribute toeconomic development.For a long time, scholars have done a lot of research andexploration on the relationship between population and economy.Westerndemographers began to study the population age structure and how the changes of itinfluence economic growth. Domestic demographers also showed great attention tothe problem in the same period.In recent years,they have made a lot of new researchfindings in this field.Our country is a large country, and regional economic development level isdifferent. Demographic Dividend of different region is not the same too. Therefore,the study on the effect of Demographic Dividend to economic growth is an importantrequirement for promoting balanced economic development in all regions.I introduce the research of Demographic Dividend into a specific area in shaanxiprovince,and expand deeper exploration in the above context. This paper illustrates thepopulation movement of shaanxi province in each year and uses the latest statistical data for amore detailed analysis.At the same time, it describes the age structure characteristics which isdifferent from the whole country.Then on the basis of Swedish life table of1957to identifyDemographic Dividend situation of shaanxi province. After the above analysis, theauthor establishes Cobb-Douglas Production Function, and analyzes the positive effectof Demographic Dividend to the economic growth in Shaanxi Province. At the same time, thispaper summarizes the labor input, capital input and total factor input that contribution to economicgrowth.Then based on the results of the analysis we found that there are many problemsin Shaanxi Province，including the serious outflow of human resources，the shortage in talent liquidity inside province and different industry，unreasonable structure，poortraining and talent evaluation system.And the social and economic structure ofShaanxi Province is irrational.According to the above problems，auditor put forwardcorresponding suggestions.This article aims to figure out the influence of demographic factors oneconomic growth in Shaanxi Province, analyzes the current economic situation andproblems,provides a strong basis on seeking viable approach to take full advantageof the Demographic Dividend.
