Composition teaching is a significant part of Chinese teaching, which is one of the most important subjects in senior middle schools. The Guidelines on National Program for Medium and Long-Term Education Reform and Develop ment states that education in senior middle schools is a critical period of perso-nality development for the students, giving a special meaning for the improve ment of the national quality and cultivation of creative talents. Writing ability i-s the integrative embodiment of Chinese. Composition, in other words, is an e-ssential measure of students’ Chinese level and is also considered as an indispe-nsable way by the authors to express their thoughts and emotion. Nowadays,w-ith the rapid development of network and computer information, digital resour ces are becoming increasing influential for teaching, research and life-long learning. Therefore, with the applied research of digital resources in composition te-aching in senior middle schools, students’ ability of collecting and making use of digital information can be effectively enhanced, which is beneficial to self-d irected learning and writing quality.Documentary analysis method, questionnaire method and empirical approach are applied in this article, which analyzes the current international situation o-f composition teaching in senior middle schools by investigating into relevant studies, and the constructivism and the audio-visual teaching mode provide supporting theory for this article. The author conducts a teaching experiment by applying multimedia courseware in line with the normal high school language curriculum standards, which emphasized on the teaching situation where student s’ interest of writing can be fully activated. Besides, it’s also stressed in this art-icle that the writing skills can be cultivated by expanding reading and accumu-lating materials. After the experiment teaching, the author gives a detailed ana-lysis of the educational products. In the end, relevant strategies and solutions are come up with according to existing problems. Firstly, it’s necessary to enha-nce the information awareness of students and teachers so as to help them col-lect and make use of digital resources for education. Secondly, cultivating stud-ents’ interest of reading is beneficial to improve the comprehensive quality. Thi-rdly, more training on education information technologies should be provided t-o improve teachers’ teaching ability.The composition teaching, based on digital resources, evaluated in this article is aimed at interesting students themselves in study so as to expand their reading space, help reading-directed writing. Therefore, their writing skills can be improved as well as the efficiency of composition teaching in senior middle schools.
