The language education, in the final analysis, is the education of language. The core of the Chinese curriculum goal should be learning native language application ability. Novel teaching occupies an important role in high school Chinese teaching,but teaching efficiency is low, only around "characters, plot and environment" the analysis of the static, too much emphasis on technical analysis, reading appreciation activity is tasted, not dig deeper into the meaning and value of the novel, also did not play the role of novel teaching should have.Pragmatics theory as the emerging field of linguistics, is a study of the language use and its rules. Pragmatics is a close relation between the theory and Chinese teaching, language use theory to guide the novel teaching, teaching is beneficial not only for novel, but also middle school students’ use of language to real life is experience, in-class and after-class, enhance the Chinese teaching practice, practical,focus on improving the students’ language ability, play to Chinese teaching.This paper discusses the pragmatics theory was applied to high school novel teaching and research, is divided into five chapters to o ’clock as an example of high school novel teaching from the discourse pragmatics study. First chapter is the introduction part is pointed out that the origin of research, research significance,research status and research methods; The second chapter, An overview of the novel teaching and pragmatics its connotation, relationship and illustrates the significance;The third chapter, analyzing the current situation of high school novel teaching; The fourth chapter, from the basic theory of pragmatics, and context language rules,speech act theory, the respect such as the preset of pragmatics theory and provides the rationalization of high school novel teaching path; The fifth chapter, it is pointed out that under the guidance of pragmatics theory novel teaching should pay attention to the problem. In order to cause the general education workers to the novel teaching thinking, and to provide a new path, in order to apply the advanced theory of pragmatics in novel teaching, to a certain extent solve the problem of the novel teaching, the concept of the pragmatics theory into Chinese teaching.
