This paper mainly studies the problems of English teachers’ classroom management in a high school of Hunchun city. In 2001, the Ministry of Education promulgated the outline of basic education curriculum reform (Trial). According to the requirements of the outline, High School English Curriculum Standards was formulated in 2003. The New Curriculum Standards put forward new requirements about curriculum objective, curriculum content, curriculum structure, teaching principles, teaching evaluation and other aspects. The new curriculum standards reforms will inevitably cause a series of new requirements and challenges to the management of high school classroom. Previous scholars mainly study the theory of classroom management, but it is rare about how to enhance the senior high school English teachers’classroom management.This study analyzes the existing problems of English classroom management of the senior high school by investigating present situation and the influencing factors of senior high school English classroom management through interviews, literature data, combined with the related theory. According to the influencing factors, the paper can give specific measures to improve English classroom management. In this study,30 English teachers and 300 students in a senior high school in Hunchun city are used as the research sample, with literature method, questionnaire method, interview method. The main content of the study is as follows:(1)to investigate the present situation of the high school English classroom management; to analyze the existing management problems in senior high school English classroom; (2) to explore the influence factors on the English classroom management of high school; (3) aiming at the existing problems and influence factors in the senior high school English classroom management, to give the countermeasures of improving management of senior high school English classroom. The conclusions are as follows:(1) it is general in the overall level of management of the senior high school English teachers’ classroom. The students’ identity for the teachers’ classroom management is below the teachers’. The management level of teachers’ classroom discipline and environment is relatively lower than that of teachers’classroom goal and classroom time. (2)English teachers with short teaching experience and low title show a lower level in the four dimensions of classroom management, and they need to accumulate experience, enrich management theory and improve the teaching level. The approval of the students with good score on each dimension of teachers’ classroom management is higher than that of the poor students. Poor students think that teachers do not make them have clear learning goals, make the classroom in order and classroom time efficient and reasonable, and teachers do not have a good relationship with the students. (3) the main factors affecting teachers’ classroom management are the learning environment,and the relationship between teachers and students play a major role, followed by the management awareness and theoretical knowledge, finally the classroom teaching skills.According to the research results, I make the following suggestions:(1) establish English teachers’ classroom management awareness and increase the knowledge of management theory; (2) improve the English teachers’ classroom management skills; (3) pay attention to the implementation of the regulations of English classroom; (4)construct the classroom with English culture and create English communication environment; (5)establish the students as the center of classroom management; (6)form a harmonious relationship between teachers and students; (7) unite the joint force of education and educate together.
