With the development of the Times, the demand to creative talents becomes more and more urgent. "Talent is the basis of innovation, innovation driven is essentially talent driven." mentioned by Xi, Jinping, general secretary of People’s Republic of China. China has also been exploring innovative talents training mode, and inquiry learning becomes one of the most popular topics at inland and aboard. Inquiry learning could activate creative thinking and upskill the practical ability, it could lift up the capability on information retrieval and processing as well. On the other hand, it promotes the target student and makes them to follow and apply in their whole life.With the rapid development of science and technology, the word that "Information technology" becomes familiar. With the promotion of information equipment at home and school, the capability of students to apply information technology is continuous growing up. Meanwhile, education of information technology is facing crisis in primary and secondary schools. Rigid curriculum set, old teaching content and traditional teaching mode, they are far away from fulfill the need of students, even a voice appears to doubt if we should open up the information curriculum. On the other hand, as the new technologies, software and methodologies are continuous coming out, students are eager to know and understand them. This paper made a research on inquiry learning mode, try to open up a new approach on information technology course, and propose my own opinion for primary and secondary school IT curriculum.To complete this paper, the following methods are applied, literature research, questionnaire survey, practice and research. Summary as below,1.Introduce the background of the main problem in research, the current status at inland and aboard. Describes the purpose and significance of this research.2. Elaborate the intension, basic characteristics and theoretical basis of inquiry learning, and bring out a new viewpoint. And analyze the relationship of teacher and students while applying inquiry learning.3.Based on the analysis to current situation of information course in junior middle school, elaborate the necessity to apply inquiry learning. To ensure the inquiry learning can be applied effectively in information course, guidelines and principles are brought out in the meanwhile.4.Deep analysis on traditional teaching mode in China, list out its shortcomings and defects. Leverage the advantages of information course, build up four inquiry learning modes to fulfill the needs, and even more, to improve current teaching situation. To prove the four modes, developed an experiment on students in grade two from second middle school of BaiJu town. Meanwhile, deep analyzed the result of experiment, explain the effect of inquiry learning mode on information course in junior middle school.5.The experiment in this paper compared the experimental class and referring class, analyzed the experiment result with SPSS, validate the feasibility and effectiveness of inquiry learning in information course of junior middle school, conclude the main conclusions of the research. Summarize the deficiencies in the research and give out the suggestion on the following researching for inquiry learning mode.The key value of this paper is to complement 3 existed inquiry learning modes which have been widely applied in our domestic, and give out my own opinion on the most popular inquiry learning mode "Filpped Classroom" which sweeps the world, and practise it in information course. Aim to play as a startup explorer on "Filpped Classroom" in our domestic, and wish more and more studies could come to this field.
