Our nation is a multi-ethnic and multilingual country, as a national language, Chinese has become the important tool for communicating emotion, idea and culture among various nationalities. For minority areas in the western part of china, carrying out Chinese teaching and accomplishment energetically for the minority has a vital significance for promoting national quality and the comprehensive development of national education, enhancing the development of economic, the interaction of nationalities, the unity and reunification of our motherland. In China, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region is one of the ethnic minority areas where Chinese teaching has gained considerable development since the education department in Xinjiang put forward the goal of “the common use of both Chinese and minority language” in1984.Under the vigorous promotion of education informatization, the application of information technology in Chinese teaching in minority areas is an inexorable trend in the development of national education course, which is also a significant way for changing the traditional teaching methods and strengthening teaching efficiency. Integrating the information technology into Chinese subject teaching in minority middle school can not only helps to improve the quality of Chinese teaching but boost the students’ Chinese accomplishment and cultivate their quality of learning independently and perpetually, which is of great practical significance.Then, what is the present situation of the information technology applied in Chinese teaching in minority middle school? And how can we further indeed speed the integration of information technology and the Chinese teaching in minority areas?Taking 5 ethic schools in Xinjiang Kuqa as a sample, the author in this paper conducts a study on the application of information technology in Chinese teaching in Xinjiang Kuqa minority middle school and develops some problems and corresponding countermeasures existed in information technology application by the means of literature research, questionnaire investigation, interviews and classroom observation and other methods.This paper consists of five parts.The first part is the introduction. Introduce the background, goal, significance and methods, content and thinking, the object and implementation of the research.The second part is the literature review. Mainly combed the domestic research situation, define the relevant concepts, and also expounds the study theory of the constructivism and the guiding function of the second language acquisition theory to this study.The third part is the investigation on the present situation of the application of information technology used in Chinese teaching in the ethic middle school, carrying on the statistics and analysis on the questionnaire in particular.The fourth part is some problems existed in the application of information technology in Chinese teaching in minority middle school, to which the author illustrate in details from the following aspects: the application environment, teaching materials, leadership, teachers and the training system of information technology.The fifth part is the countermeasures of information technology in Chinese teaching in minority middle school. In view of the existing problems of information technology in Chinese teaching, the author put forward his own suggestions and comments.
