Chinese culture is a symbol of our traditional Chinese culture, and recorded with a history of 5,000 years of Chinese civilization and Chinese academic. Chinese is the discipline which has the duties to carry on our mother tongue language education and language teaching materials is the carrier of Chinese.The inheritance and development of our national culture and Chinese academic attached to the Chinese discipline.The Selection of text in the language teaching materials directly reflects our emphasize on sinology。Taiwan and mainland has the same root, in order to promote the interaction and promotion between Taiwan and mainland,Meanwhile,to provide some references for teaching reform of our mainland,So I choose Taiwan Sanmin version of the high school textbooks and high school language textbook from our continent People’s Education Press to compare the difference between them.Relying on content analytic approach and comparative analytic approach,the paper compare the number,author,dynasty distribution,structure and values in the textbooks about sinology from the two sets of textbooks,.The results show that,both the number and proportion of the Chinese culture in Taiwan high school textbook content are more than the mainland’s, the choice of the two sets of textbooks on Chinese culture content are different,which can also be found.The mainland pays not enough attention to the nature of the sinology education,the poetry became main content of Chinese culture in the high school selected text.However, Taiwan, which pay highly attention to the nature of the sinology education,chooses many content covering a wide range of Chinese culture.
