Against the background of education globalization and with the skyrocketing development of information technology, while some achievements have been made in the adoption of Project-based Learning (PBL), more and more problems have been exposed. Moreover, an emerging teaching practice-the teaching model based on flipped classroom has sprung up like mushrooms. The flipped classroom teaching model has reversed the "in-class" knowledge imparting and "after-class" knowledge internalization in the traditional PBL. It is characterized by "after-class" knowledge imparting and "in-class" knowledge internalization. The flipped classroom teaching model has solved many problems for the PBL. In view of this, the research objectives of this thesis are as follows:(1)To judge whether the flipped classroom teaching model of PBL is appropriate to be applied to the teaching of Concord University College of Fujian Normal University, an application-oriented university through theoretical research and practice observation;(2)To study the current status and existing problems in the application of flipped classroom teaching model of PBL in the teaching of application-oriented universities through the observation method, interview method and questionnaire survey method;(3)To verify with the experiment method, after the application of the flipped classroom teaching model of PBL, whether the flipped classroom teaching model of PBL is conducive to improving the learning enthusiasm and result for Digital Media Technology majors of Concord University College of Fujian Normal University, an application-oriented university.The literature review method, experiment method, questionnaire survey method, interview method, measurement method and content analysis method were adopted to carry out the research. First of all, the literature review was conducted on relevant domestic and overseas literature to put forward the significance of this research. Secondly, the author chose student and teachers of the Department of Digital Media Technology of Concord University College of Fujian Normal University, an application-oriented university as research objects and carried out the survey and analysis of the application of the flipped classroom teaching model of PBL. Thirdly, through comparative analysis of the experiment, the author verified the teaching effect and students’ learning enthusiasm of the flipped classroom teaching model of PBL are higher than those of the traditional PBL. Finally, on the basis of the reflection on teaching practice, the author put forward the use strategies and things to note and provided feasibility suggestions for future improvement and the adoption of flipped classroom teaching model.In this thesis, this project has proved with practice the feasibility and effectiveness of applying the flipped classroom teaching model of PBL and the model can further improve the learning result of students, and arouse their learning enthusiasm. This can not only provide references for the flipped classroom teaching practice in China but also provide a teaching practice example to boost the learning enthusiasm and results of students.
