Study On Practical Ability Cultivation Of Master Of Fine Arts (Music)

Practical ability is the key ability for the master of professional degree, which affects and limits education quality of master of professional degree. Since practice is the important character of music subject, the practical ability is determined to play central role in the education of Master of Fine Arts (Music) degree. With practical ability of Master of Fine Arts (Music) as study object, birth background of Master of Fine Arts (Music), theoretical connotation of practical ability, core ability factors and current situation of practical ability cultivation of Master of Fine Arts (Music) are systematically analyzed in this paper by using the methods of document analysis, comparative analysis, investigation and system analysis, and successful experiences from Taiwan, Japan and German in practical ability cultivation of Master of Music are critically absorbed and learnt, and cultivating measures to reform and improve the practical ability of Master of Fine Arts (Music) are proposed to make contributions for improving education quality of Master of Fine Arts (Music).
