In this paper, based on the questionnaires and interviews to the Baoding Xianxuejie School lower primary teachers to understand and find out the problems of the large class quota classroom management, and proposed management improvements strategy, hoping to provide guidance for teachers to build new type classroom teaching, so that the lower primary students have safe and enjoyable environment in the classroom, to maximize their potential into full play.In the first chapter, this paper analyzes the current situation of large classes in low grades of primary school.In China, large-class teaching in primary and middle schools is widespread. Both in cities and rural areas, there are “large classes” or “super large classes”in some schools with good conditions and high quality. A survey made by the Ministry of Education in 2008 shows that in China’s over 2,780,000 classes in primary and middle schools, there are about 245,000 large classes, accounting for 8.8% of the total, and there are 153,000 super large classes, accounting for 5.5% of the total.The second chapter makes a survey on large class management in low grades of Baoding Xianxuejie primary school, and then points out the existing problems. Such as poor classroom discipline, lack of teacher-student interaction; crowded classrooms, less space; inappropriate use of teaching strategies, etc.The third chapter gives an analysis on the causes of these problems. The causes for the above problems involves economic, educational, cultural and other factors. This chapter only gives analysis on why there are such problems in classroom management in low grades of primary schools from the viewpoint of educational factors.The fourth chapter focuses on providing some strategies to improve the large class management of low grades in primary school. Such as establishing effective classroom routine, creating good classroom environment, implementating effective classroom management of cooperative learning, improving teachers’ quality, building teachers’ prestige, strengthening the home-school cooperation, establishing multi-level evaluation system and using modern information technology effectively.
