As an important part of higher education, the higher vocational education in our country shoulders on the responsibility of training high skilled talents. With the expansion of higher vocational education, enrollment in higher vocational colleges has increased dramatically in our country.The type of vocational colleges, the number of colleges and universities, the number of professional, the number of students and the number of graduates increased. In this environment, improving the quality of teaching of higher vocational colleges are imperative. And the quality of teaching lies in teachers’ classroom teaching. As one of the important means of teaching quality evaluation, the students’ evaluation of teaching plays an important role in the evaluation of teaching.Based on the important thought “several opinions on comprehensively improving the quality of higher vocational education” that understanding the importance and urgency of improving teaching quality in higher vocational education and based on the current problems and shortage existing in the higher vocational college, it studied the teaching quality of higher vocational colleges. Through field survey, in-depth analysis of students’ evaluation of teaching in higher vocational colleges, finding out the problems existing in the higher vocational college students, it analyzed the reason and put forward to improving countermeasures of the effectiveness of students’ evaluation of teaching in higher vocational colleges, so as to promote the improvement of teaching quality of higher vocational colleges.Based on consulting a large number of domestic and international students’ evaluation of teaching and relevant theories, it uses literature analysis and questionnaire survey for research combining with interview survey. Based on the status of students’ evaluation at home and abroad, it analyzed the influence factors on the effectiveness of students’ evaluation of teaching from four aspects that the teachers and students’ attitude toward students’ evaluation of teaching, implementation of students’ evaluation of teaching, the scale of setting students’ evaluation of teaching, the result of students’ evaluation of teaching. Through the analysis of various problems, it put forward some countermeasures to improve the effectiveness of students’ evaluation of teaching. It mainly includes: The publicity before training, improving the teachers and students’ understanding of students’ evaluation of teaching; Improving the index system of students’ evaluation; According to the principle of corresponding and designing diversified evaluation scale; Highlighting the characteristics of higher vocational colleges; Using the result of students’ evaluation of teaching scientificly and reasonably;Using a variety of evaluation methods to realize diversified evaluation.In this paper, the ultimate objective is to reduce adverse factors in the students’ ratings of teaching through corresponding countermeasures, thus improving the effectiveness of students’ evaluation of teaching in higher vocational colleges to make the students’ evaluation of teaching play a better role in improving quality of teaching and improving the quality of teaching in higher vocational colleges.
