| As the saying goes:it takes ten years for trees growing, and one hundred years for education. Cultivation of talents in colleges and universities relates to the national destiny and the future of country. Since the reform and opening-up, Chinese higher education has made rapid striding development. The education mode of Chinese higher education has be transformed from elite education to mass education, from single education to quality education, and from enclosed education to open education. Furthermore, the internationalization of education is gradually realized. Therefore, in the new situation, new tasks of education are bound to put forward new requirements for higher education. However, university counselors, which undertake important missions of ideological and political work of higher education, are not widely accepted by society. Meanwhile, comprehensive quality of university counselors is also required to be further enhanced. In recent years, how to utilize the theory of competence to improve staff’s competence becomes a hot research topic in the field of human resource management. Through the practical demonstration of number of enterprises at home and abroad, competence model is considered effective to predict staff’s comprehensive abilities. Based on this, this thesis will introduce competence theory into the research category of university counselor; construct competence model of university counselors; and explore management strategy of university counselors on basis of competence model.Specifically, researches launched in this thesis are as follows:In the first, on the basis of the explicit research background and significance, this thesis reviewed and analyzed the related literatures, including concepts of competence, theories of competence model and achievements of university counselor competence.In the second, the model of university counselor competence was constructed with integrated research methods according to literature research methods, behavioral event interview methods and empirical approach methods based on mathematical statistics, and 21 two level of competency elements of autonomous learning.In the third, on the basis of university counselor competence model, this thesis discussed the university counselor management strategy based on competence model. Firstly, compared with traditional management strategies, advantages of management strategy based on competence model and application premise including 3 principles, were illustrated; secondly, from the aspects of selection, assessment and training, the specific measures for management strategy of university counselors based on competence model were detailed; finally, matters need attention during the implementation of management strategies were put forward, involving organizational culture shaping, feedback and communication of the assessment results, and dynamic adjustment of competence model. |
