School physical education is a important part of school education. It burdens the task of training students’ all-round development of moral,intellectual, physical and aesthetics and has great significance in strengthening the people’s physical fitness, improving the qualities of the whole nation. The current situation of school sports teaching is directly related to the development of school physical education, so the investigating the current situation of school sports teaching has very important significance in the sound development of school physical education and school education. With the advance of quality education and in-depth development of new sports curriculum standards, action-oriented research and development-oriented research of school physical education begin to be highly valued. In June of 2011, after The State Council’ decision on the elementary education reform and development issued, our basic education started a new round of reform in curriculums. Suzhou city, as one of the basic education curriculum experimental area in Jiangsu province, join the rank of sports curriculum reform [1].In order to analyze the current situation of junior middle school sports teaching in Suzhou New District and the problems exist in sports teaching, improve teachers’ teaching and students’ learning, improve the efficiency of the classroom teaching and promote the professional development of teachers, the author investigates the classroom teaching of sports and the physical education teachers and students of PE and health course in Suzhou New District, records surveys and analyzes the current physical education, and analyzes the current classroom teaching of physical education in junior high school and its influence factors, providing references for scientific development of PE and health course in junior high school in this district.On the basis of questionnaire to PE teachers and students, the author adopts observation methods, literature analysis method, interview method, experience method and statistics methods to investigate and study 33 classes of junior middle school sports teaching in Suzhou New District.
