The employment relating to people’s livelihood, is an important issue in the national strategic level, and also the common concern of academic and political issues. With the development of social economy and the increasing emphasis on human rights, the employment quantity is no longer the sole criterion to measure the employment status of a country. It is an important task for most modern countries to increase employment rate. However, it has also reached a consensus that only relying on the employment rate can not promote the long-term health development of economy and society. Nowadays, the university graduates in the labor market are easy to become the low quality of employment group, especially the female college students.In recent years, more and more scholars begin to pay close attention to the quality of employment and have accumulated some research results. As far as the content of the research is concerned, the establishment of the evaluation index system of the quality of employment, or the effect of a single factor to the quality of employment or the employment quality of a particular group of people. In this paper, I analyze the differences of the employment quality of college graduates with different gender, and the research in this field is relatively small.This paper investigate college students in the Yangtze River Delta region including Shanghai and Jiangsu Province who graduated in the past ten years,in order to understand the quality of their employment situation. Using principal component analysis to establish the evaluation index system of university graduates’ employment quality, and the data were extracted up to the dimensions of gender. At the same time, the paper tries to analyze the results of statistical analysis using the theory of human capital, the main reference to the views of economists such as Schultz, Becker, Mincer, etc.Combined with the characteristics of the times and the impact of the quality of employment,I put forward the views of this paper. It is hoped that the research results of this study provide a reference for the relevant areas of the quality of employment.This article uses the work income, work stability, development space, work environment and interpersonal relationship as five aspects of the surveyed object of the employment quality. Through the statistical analysis,I found that overall, male employment quality score is slightly higher than women, mainly reflected in the work income and development space.And in the work stability and work environment, female score is slightly higher.The score is almost equal in the part of interpersonal relationship. There is no obvious difference in gender differences in employment quality. Finally, the paper puts forward the suggestions on how to further reduce the quality of employment between male and female from three aspects, which is to improve the labor market system, to establish an equal value concept and to carry out a multiple angle accumulation of human capital.
