How in the economic construction more reasonable and effective development and utilization of natural resources, reduce industrial development to the environment pollution and destruction, how to build a resource-conserving and environment-friendly society, really realize the sustainable development of economy, society and ecology, this a series of problems need us in the development of economy and the thorough thinking and seriously.The eighteenth congress of the party’s comprehensive profoundly expounded as an integral part of the scientific outlook on development, ecological civilization construction, and puts forward the construction of ecological civilization, is the future of people’s well-being, concerns national long-term strategy, and a tightening in the face of resource constraints, the serious situation of serious environmental pollution, ecological degradation, must set up respecting nature, comply with the nature, protect the natural ecological civilization concept, put the construction of ecological civilization in prominence, blend in economic construction, political construction, cultural construction, social construction and the whole process, strive to build a beautiful China, realize the sustainable development of the Chinese nation." From our party for the first time sheet can be seen in the ecological civilization, ecological civilization construction is discussed in relation to the socialist practice of the scientific development concept, related to the construction of a harmonious socialist society, to enhance public awareness of ecological civilization, truly achieve the coordinated development of man and nature is of great significance. Party’s eighteen big report also highlights to publicity and education to strengthen the construction of ecological civilization, points out that to "strengthen the propaganda and education of ecological civilization, strengthen the national consciousness of saving, environmental protection consciousness, ecology consciousness, forming the social fashion reasonable consumption, create a good atmosphere to take care of the ecological environment". School bear the ideology and culture, scientific research and personnel training important mission, implements and realizes the construction of ecological civilization theory should be a main position. Important task of building socialist ecological civilization, therefore, should fall on to cultivate teenagers as the main target of middle school and high school teachers. And as a basic subject of senior high school education, geography teaching in training students’ consciousness of ecological civilization plays an important role. This is due to the high school geography teaching to relation between people and land as the main line, with the scientific outlook on development as the guiding ideology, it is pointed out in high school geography curriculum goals:focus on the problem such as population, resources, environment and regional development, to help students correctly understand the relationship, the formation of the concept of sustainable development, love the earth, be kind to the environment. Therefore, in the teaching process, the high school geography teachers should pay attention to Pierce through the concept of ecological civilization to improve the students’ consciousness of ecological civilization. Through teaching, found that a simple give students instill ecological civilization, interpretation of the ecological civilization theory does not conform to the students’ cognitive structure, at the same time, make the teaching appears dull boring, students understand very abstract. So this article case teaching as the main teaching method, cited examples of student life, to make the students really involved in the classroom, improve the ecological civilization consciousness, sets up the scientific view of ecological civilization.In this paper, first of all, from the perspective of the research on ecological civilization education both at home and abroad, then analyze the basic theory of ecological civilization education, and on the analysis of the existing high school geography education status quo on the basis of ecological civilization, points out the main problems of the existing. Finally, in the form of case teaching, the paper analyzes the connotation, the characteristics of high school geography teaching, the role in the ecological civilization education, and as a guide, the case teaching design of the ecological civilization education.
