Research On Theme Teaching Method Of Senior High School History Course

Theme teaching method is based on scientific methods such as Constructivism learning theory and Humanism, featuring combining related teaching contents and resources with highlight themes by means of a certain teaching strategy. With the method, teachers and students will conduct a series of survey to realize the teaching goal better. The theme teaching method is not so widely used in history subject teaching in senior high school at present. So some problems may arise when the method is adopted. The theme teaching method is in line with Constructivism learning theory and Humanism, considering the characteristics of history subject, benefiting students in some ways:for example, help them construct knowledge structure, train students to get compact logic, cultivate their ability to do survey on their own., which displays the spirit of New Curriculum Revolution. The paper introduces specific steps of theme teaching methods in history subject by means of cases in class. Many topics are discussed, including how to design teaching plans, what role the teacher and students play respectively as well as the category of themes in history subject.In addition, the problems that may arise in the process have been described and the possible solutions to evading them have been introduced. In a word, through the survey, I hold the view that applying theme teaching method can benefit both teachers and students, so the method is well worth advocating.
