In history teaching, the integration and application between history and geography is strengthening the penetration of relevant geographical knowledge to prevent the fragmentation of knowledge, optimize the teaching effect and promote the development of comprehensive thinking ability of the students. The integrated study of the high school history teaching is the basic requirement of history subject. The biggest characteristics of the Chinese new curriculum reform is pursuing the combination of nature and humanities and strengthening the integration of curriculum to train new creative talents. This is a big challenge to teachers. Therefore, it is particularly important for teachers to change previous single subject teaching mode into multidisciplinary comprehensiveness, especially the integration of history and geography, it is also a starting point of research of integration and application. Due to the limited time and ability, the author studies mainly compulsory textbooks of high schools of PEP, this article is mainly divided into the following three parts:Introduction, it contains the reason of choosing the topic, the significance of the research and the current research status integrated history and geography at home and abroad.The first part is the concept and necessity of integration between history and geography. "History and geography do not break up", it has been produced since ancient times. Based on the simple concept, the author puts a stronger emphasis on the necessity that the integration between history and geography has important influence on the new curriculum reform, the college entrance examination and the long-term development of the high school history teaching.The second part is the central content. On the basis of the form of teaching cases, the author analyses the application of integration between history and geography in the three high school compulsory textbooks. Meantime, through the analysis of Arts Comprehensive Ability Test questions in recent years, state the integration between history and geography application in them.The third part mainly points out its problem in high school history teaching and makes the personal and reasonable suggestions to improve its application in high school history teaching.Conclusion, the author makes a simple summary of full text, points out the shortage of the paper as well as the outlook.
