In 1993,"History and Society" was implemented throughout Zhejiang province.Up to now it's been 26 years.As a integrated arts curriculum,"History and Society"integrates history,politics,geography,sociology and other related humanities.It intends to cultivate students' comprehensive ability and core competence.However,the teaching of "History and Society" is faced with such difficulties as the shortage of professional teachers,the general neglect of the value and status of the subject,and deficiency of time.There are still many practical problems that need to be solved urgently in the discipline research,such as,how to continue the work of curriculum integration education and improve effectiveness of it,and try to extend curriculum integration system.This article introduces the teaching theory of "integration of history and geography",sorts out the knowledge system that embodies the concept of "integration of history and geography" in history and social disciplines.Firstly,it summarizes and demonstrates the curriculum nature,curriculum theme,curriculum objectives and content objectives in history and society curriculum standards(2011 edition).Secondly,by analyzing the arrangement of historical and geographical knowledge in the textbook history and society published by the people's education press,.Comparing and analyzing the differences of textbooks of different grades,the composition of the integrated knowledge system of history and geography of this discipline is shown.Finally,explains the existing problems in the existing textbooks,such as the insufficient integration of history and geography knowledge,the improper compilation of curriculum content caused by the unclear historical context,geographical knowledge is not comprehensive and so on.The author investigated the current middle school students' comprehensive ability of historical geography in Zhejiang province,and conducted data analysis.Trying to figure out how well students know about 'integration of history and geography'.It is found that there is a gap between urban and rural teaching effect,and the specific reasons are still to be studied.By analyzing the characteristics of relevant teaching materials and junior high school students.The author thinks,in junior middle school,it is important to discuss how to practice the teaching theory of "integration of history and geography".According to the teaching practice of comprehensive subjects in Zhejiang Province for more than 20 years,we think it's feasible.Therefore,aiming at the problems and difficulties found in the investigation,through the demonstration of specific teaching cases,the author puts forward some teaching suggestions.It is hoped that we can carry out the teaching concept of "integration of history and geography" better in the teaching of "History and Society" subject through these methods.For example,restructuring and adjusting the text books,supplementing and improving the teaching materials can maximize the efficiency of the text books.Different from the traditional teaching mode,Learning-plan teaching mode and project-based learning(PBL,for short),which are effective in enhancing the classroom teaching efficiency.We also try to combine"History and Society" teaching with travel study.It provides us with a new way of cultivation.As a integrated curriculum,"History and Society" has the characteristics of fusing multidisciplinary knowledge.There are still some problems in the teaching process that need attention.In conclusion,I pointed out that teachers should use different teaching methods in different grades,try to integrate different disciplines,focus on connection of Primary and Secondary School,improve evaluation mechanism,enlist multiple supports and so on.Furthermore,The author analyzes some typical questions in recent years.The purpose is to explain how the "integration of history and geography" concept is reflected in the senior high school entrance examination in Zhejiang Province.Compared with such subjects as history and geography."History and Society" is the representative of comprehensive discipline.In order to promote the development of"History and Society",it is still necessary to optimize the curriculum structure and coordinate the various subject systems.Practice the teaching concept of "integration of history and geography" will help to improve students' comprehensive ability and core literacy.
