With the impetus of the global economic integration, the mixed communications between polity, economy and culture among countries increasingly have strengthened among countries. For example, the cultural exchanges and collis ions have diversified increas ingly. In this context of cultural development, it is particularly important to cultivate teenagers cultural awareness as builders and successors for China, especially intercultural awareness. As an important communication carriers of exotic culture, foreign literary works precisely provides secondary school students a window to open eyes to the world. Through appreciation and learning foreign literature, high school students can engage in dialogues with diverse cultures to understand different cultures and extraterritorial foreign Literature divers ity, thus developing their own aesthetic tastes. Due to several shackles and constraints of some factors, Chinese teachings have ignored the work’s cultural values. Meanwhile, the selections and the actual teachings of foreign literature haven’t really grasp their essences from a cultural point of view for a long time. As the new curriculum for language teaching materials have adjusted, the role of foreign cultures can be highlighted in teaching practice.Based on the above understandings, this paper, taking the PEP high school language elective textbook "appreciation of foreign novels" as a temp late, with a multicultural perspective of departure and in the position of multiculturalis m and comparative literature, makes a preliminary analys is of proportion, princ iples the problems and countermeasures. At the same time, it analyzes thoroughly the causes for the connotation, characteristics, values and cultural divers ities of foreign culture. Analyzing and interpreting other cultures will help us to understand the work containing exotic culture, thus deepening the understanding of foreign literary works. This article also selects eight representative works from these selected artic les textbooks. Taking them for examp le, it emphasizes that different regions reflect cultural characteristics and other manifestations of them in different cultures work among Asia, Europe, the Soviet Union. Finally, with the vision of multiculturalism, the paper proposes the princ iples of appreciation on foreign literary works, in the hope of benefiting their appreciation and teachings.The innovation of this paper is the introduction of the multi-cultura l perspective-to connect foreign literature and the exotic culture closely from a variety of cultures and cultural point of view of teaching materials specific foreign literature, thus guid ing high school students to appreciate foreign literature and develop their tastes for another culture in the cultural multip le angles.
