Recently years, national urban and rural fine arts education have been developing rapidly, while the development speed in rural areas is slower than in urban areas, so we should spare no effort to build up rural fine arts education to get a balance development between rural and urban areas. Rural fine arts classroom teaching plays an important role in the development of rural fine arts education; as a result, there is an urge need to understand the tualities of fine arts classroom teaching in rural middle schools.In this research, six middle schools have been selected as respondents established in rural areas of Fengqiu county to research on seven aspects including education environment, curriculum, teaching method, teaching content, teaching concept, curriculum assessment and teaching effects with the help of questionnaire, classroom observation, interview and so on, to size up fine arts classroom teaching actuality of rural middle schools in Fengqiu county, and summarize major problems and reasons in classroom teaching based on education, educational psychology and other principles.The author deeply analyzed and searched the root of the problem in order to find out the methods of solving the problems of fine arts classroom teaching in Fengqiu county. The author hopes to attract more people paying attention to fine arts classroom teaching of rural middle schools in Fengqiu county and all sectors of society devoting to solve these problems, in addition, author hopes to offer an reference example to other areas in Henan.This thesis has five parts. Chapter 1 is introduction, illuminating research reasons, research problems, research contents and meaning, research subjects and methods. Chapter 2 researches and analyzes fine arts classroom teaching actualities on seven aspects including education environment, curriculum, teaching method, teaching content, teaching concept, curriculum assessment and teaching effects. Chapter 3 concludes main problems and analyzes reasons on fine arts classroom teaching based on six aspects. including the art teachers’ professional quality level, active learning awareness, efforts to develop teaching resources, teaching evaluation method and thought cognition. Chapter 4 explains development strategies and find out solving ideas and methods from six aspects. Chapter 5 is conclusion.
