The education in the vocational school plays an important role in cultivating and training talent students in our country. Its aim is to cultivate the skillful talents who are adapt to the requests of the economic development. They’ve got the sufficient cultivation in such aspects like moral education, intellectual education, aesthetic education and labor education, which also have the integrated ability. At the same time,they should be the high qualified labourers and skillful people who are working in the first-line of production technique and management as well. Dating back at over these thirty years, there have been so many excellent labourers graduated from vocational schools, which made a great contribution to our socialist economic construction. Since the 18th session of the national people’s congress, our country is going though the critical stage of changing in the way of development and the adjustment of economic structure. In order to accommodate the economic transition,students should improve their qualification so that they can yield the greatest returns on investment. Therefore we should pay more attention to strengthen the administration in the cultivating of vocational schools. The target of the schools is not only to improve students’skills but also to fit for the personal development to adapt our current society. This request can be realized only by enhancing students’level of basic culture. This training will let them acquire the ability of analyzing, synthesizing and intellectual enquiries under the condition of setting culture-based curriculum.In that cases, therefore, it is an efficient way to cultivate their professional skills and career qualification as well as emphasize the study of basic knowledge. It can make students gain the ability of analyzing and provide the conditions of specialized courses. However,there are still many shortcomings in setting these courses such as the unreasonable choosing in selection, unpractical teaching content and lacking of communication between teachers and students, which ask for the the reform and research in the basic courses in the vocational schools.The writer focus on this theme to analyze the current situation and problems in the mechanical and electrical major. It is necessary to propose the reform measures and carry on research by using the math course as a lively example.The aim of this research is to satisfied the requirement for people receiving vocational education, while it can enhance students’specialized skills and career competence to satisfied the social command for the labourers. Therefore,we should confirm the idea of lasting education to promote humans integrated development.
