As China’s becoming more and more prosperous and powerful, the international Chinese education progress is spreading all over the world gradually. In recent years, with the relationship between China and Thailand getting further developed, Chinese language has been one of the most important foreign languages which Thai students must learn. It is a big challenge for every native-Chinese teacher that how to choose the proper teaching method, adjust the teaching steps during the process of teaching Chinese to speakers of other languages. All of this means that we teachers should have an accurate knowledge about the teaching factors, such as, the teaching objects, teaching environment, teaching goal and teaching content, etc. In this paper, I will combine the theories of instructional design field about teaching Chinese to speakers of other languages with my specific teaching practice, to set an instructional design example by the lesson10 Interesting Festivals from the textbook Experience Chinese high schoolIII. Through the analysis and conclusion of the teaching examples, I want to show how to make the teaching instructional design involving the culture of China for the Chinese Primary Comprehensive Course, and try to give some useful advice on the problems existing in the process by finishing the paper. I am writing it also in hope that such a comprehensive instructional design for the courses of teaching Chinese to speakers of other languages can serve as the effective reference when others make the similar design in the future.The paper shall comprise of six parts as below.The first chapter is a brief statement, mainly about the background and significance of writing this paper, and a total introduction of the related research results at home and abroad.The second chapter is the analysis about the teaching circumstance at YannawateWittayakom Middle School, including the school condition, the relevant teaching material, and the characters of Chinese language learners.In the third chapter, Based on the related teaching principals, I will illustrate that the paper will how to carry out the teaching design and why I choose these teaching techniques in the the example of lesson Interesting Festival.The fourth chapter is the teaching practice. I give this lesson in details including vocabulary,grammar and culture, etc. during the real teaching process according to the lesson plan we’ve made in the former chapters.The fifth chapter is the teaching evaluation and reflection about this instructional design from three aspects, the results of final exam、the feedback from students and school.The last part is a conclusion about the whole of the paper, and try to put forward the resolutions to solve the problems during the teaching process.
