The number of learning Chinese in South Korea is growing and shows a trend of younger-age. Many elementary schools are opening Chinese classes. Chinese classes in elementary school are based on children’s physical and psychological characteristics. As Korean elementary students are influenced by their own cultural background and social environment, they held unique characteristics. Therefore, it is necessary to practice game teaching method in Chinese teaching process. Game teaching method arouses students’ interests and helps young students overcome the feeling of being afraid of difficulties when they are learning Chinese, so that students can learn Chinese in a happy atmosphere.Considering the author’s one-year Chinese teaching practice in Korea, this thesis studies Chinese classes in Hansol Elementary School in Gangwon-do, it aims to discover effective classroom games accord to Korean elementary students’characteristics. The thesis focuses on summarizing various games the author played with different grades’students and how to practice game teaching method into real class. Hopefully, it will be beneficial to the future Chinese teachers to Korean elementary schools.The thesis is divided into four chapters:the first chapter is the introduction part, presents research background, research review, research objective, significance, research object and method. The second chapter is the theory part of game teaching method, mainly explains the definitions of games and classroom games, the principles in designing classroom games, the definitions and theory basis of game teaching method. The third chapter is the main part of the thesis. It mainly analyzes the classroom games in Chinese classes of different grades’Korean elementary students. The fourth chapter is conclusion. It concludes that under the non-target language environment it is necessary to using classroom games to teach language, and concludes the deficiency of the thesis.
