In recent years, the teaching reform of higher education has been deepened, and the teaching quality has been improved, and the comprehensive development of quality education has become one of the focal problems. Along with the implementation of the connotation construction in Colleges and universities, and put forward new demands and expectations for the reform of college physical education curriculum, the reform of teaching methods has become the most important.In this study, literature, experimental method, questionnaire survey, expert interviews, from the domestic and foreign sports teaching methods of the status quo, the theory of cooperative learning and its characteristics were deeply studied. According to cooperative learning advantages of teaching method, the psychology of, students aerobics professional and technical, physical fitness, learning motivation, self-confidence, solidarity and cooperation ability, and the student evaluation of teaching effect of six variables from to teaching experimental research, through the experimental class and the control class recycling questionnaire statistical data and statistical results in the difference of of analysis and summary, thus obtains the following conclusion: cooperative learning method is suitable for the Elective Aerobics Teaching a more effective teaching methods.1. In ordinary colleges and universities aerobics elective course using cooperative learning method, by comparing the data of experiment teaching that analysis, due to the cooperative learning and traditional teaching in exercise intensity and density of training small, at the same time by the classroom teaching number limit, resulting in a students in physical quality and technical grades had no significant difference.2. in ordinary colleges and Universities Aerobics Gymnastics teaching, using the cooperation learning method, to improve the students’ learning motivation effect is very significant. Compared with the traditional teaching methods, the cooperative learning method is more conducive to the mobilization of students’ learning motivation and interest, and the new classroom teaching arrangement not only improves the learning atmosphere, but also stimulates the students’ desire for knowledge.3. in ordinary colleges and Universities Aerobics Gymnastics Teaching by means of cooperative learning method, students in the aspects of self-confidence is very obvious, with extremely significant difference, illustrated with students after peer group and mutual learning, made technical action successful experience, so as to obtain the good psychological experience and satisfaction, enhance self-confidence.4. In ordinary colleges and Universities Aerobics Gymnastics teaching. The cooperative learning method, students in the ability of cooperation improve is very obvious. Cooperative learning method using the students’ favorite form of group learning as aerobics teaching skill learning starting point, not only to develop the students’ mutual aid of excellent quality, and cultivate the ability of students of solidarity.In general, cooperative learning as the new curriculum reform in our country under the premise advocated a teaching method, is also a very effective way of sports teaching, on students’ learning motivation, self-confidence, solidarity and cooperation ability has obvious improve, not only to optimize the classroom teaching atmosphere, also make the students overall quality, comprehensive ability is improved, and the view to conform to the development of quality education in our country.
