It has been a consensus in the word of mother tongue education that we should emphasize the reader in writing and reader awareness in composition teaching. The study of how to cultivate the students’ reader awareness is transferring from theory to practice in recent years. However, it hasn’t been a trend to put theory into a feature writing training, based on which teaching practice can open up lots of writing styles through series of activities during the school life.This paper based on the real practical experience in Junior School divides into three parts. The first part is an introduction, in where sorted out the theoretical basis of reader awareness writing view, summed up some writing problems caused by lack of reader, explored what the paper’s value is to design and carry out s series of composition teaching activities to cultivate the students’ reader awareness from all ranges. The second part includes the second and the third chapter, the second chapter did some practicing surveys and teaching designs, which is expected to make up the students’ gaps in knowledge on a writing class; to give the students a relaxed space to write in use of two periods of “circle of friends on the black board”; to encourage the students to practice reader awareness on their own by proposing a tentative plan to contribute to the campus’ s newspaper. The third chapter made some analyses and reflections to each fragment during three teaching practices: writing class should help the students to look for their own readers; “circle of friends on the black board” ought to choose some hot topics among the students; the contribution to the campus’ s newspaper needs a lot of actual and communicative information. As the third part, the forth chapter discussed some methods from each side of teacher, reading instruction, comprehensive study and writing activity to promote the juniors’ development on reader awareness.About this paper, there are three innovation points:First of all, reader awareness composition teaching in Junior High School should make clear that even a personalized writing activity also need the participate of reader, the writer should also think about how to be pertinent to his reader. Developing students’ reader awareness is not only requested by the teaching but also a sort of humanistic feelings.Secondly, the teaching practice activities should be colorful and feasible, a special composition teaching practice makes for systematic training with less time and vigor; procedural composition teaching can strengthen each process’ s link in writing activity, implement the reader awareness itself to writing activity and what’s more, remind the students of recomposing.Thirdly, it is essential to transform theory into content of course, to seek a bonding point between the reader awareness writing view and the fact of composition teaching in Junior High School, which one can be closed to the situation of the Junior High School students and their study, can at the same time stimulate the students to accept, learn and use it in their whole life. As “the Book of Changes” said: “Aim high or you’ll fall below the average.” What we should do is to make the theory of reader awareness be teaching and practicable, to keep high aspirations with genuine practice and proceeding in small stages.
