With the development of sports technology theory, in recent years some experts and scholars believe that traditional training methods are difficult to make athletes increasing. More and more people pay attention to functional training that is as a core area of this year’s popular training methods in applications in the area of rehabilitation, and gradually is applied to each item among sports. Since badminton is the rhythm of intense confrontation projects, it requires a lot of fight in defense conversion as well as the ever-changing tactics. Players in the game need to adjust the body posture and to maintain balance, constantly moving and braking. Need rapidly change eight directions to the movement, according to the court at the same time and to change at any time in the form of technical and tactical, constantly convert their physical equilibrium steady state, also you need to apply a variety of technical and tactical game to obtain victory. Therefore, badminton players need to be very good physical fitness to cope with changes in the stadium. In addition, the core area is responsible for the power playing and to maintain balance and stability to improve movement coordination. Functional training refers to the core area for the major muscle groups in the core parts of the body to improve force, the balance, the stability of these three main intensive training.The purpose of the training is to keep the body in motion posture stability and to support all aspects of the physical coordination exercise force at the same time to provide and regulate nerve and muscle coordination between the control system to further strengthen its balance stability.In this paper, with using of literature, writer specifically consults on the core area of functional training literature research for nearly 10 years, and through expert interviews as well as consultants, establish the core area of the experimental design of functional training program in conjunction with Professor Tabata core training content to design the training methods, Through the 20 students who are major in badminton of Jilin Institute of Physical Education they are divided experimental group and the control group for 12 weeks of training that combine with testing instrument including LUKO infrared motion capture system and the Dukang DK- PHY balance function test system etc. Obtained by testing core training and general training performance data performance data, there is analysis of the data in the impact of badminton players four aspects of the comparative.Results from the data analysis of this study show that the core area of functional training better than traditional training for lofty goals and smashing success rate that is improved significantly, while batsman instantaneous speed more than traditional training. And physical fitness and balance badminton players and FMS index can be improved through the core area features traditional training and general training, but the core area of training better than traditional general training. But two kinds of training improve the quality of endurance is not obvious, it indicates that endurance training also need endurance exercises to effect.
