With the rapid development of education informatization in China, Flipped Classroom emerges. Flipped Classroom, which inverts knowledge imparting and knowledge digesting, reforms the teaching process, and triggers new roles between teachers and students, manages classroom hours as well. Flipped Classroom has been put into practice by several domestic middle schools. Based on unique teaching and learning circumstances, the thesis explores Flipped Classroom application issues in high school English teaching. So what is Flipped Classroom? As far as Flipped Classroom is concerned, what problems have emerged in high school English teaching?In order to respond these two questions above, from the perspective of theory, based on constructivist learning theory, the thesis firstly combs the history of flipped classroom、defnes flipped classroom and analysis strengths of flipped classroom with the aid of literature research; And then combined with questionnaires and interviews, from the perspective of practice, the thesis carries out a field survey on Kunming No.34 high school, which is experiencing English course flipped classroom, and makes an assay of four procedures of flipped classroom. Then, as for the realization condition, the thesis finds two application problems from the viewpoint of students, namely, students fail in watching micro-videos and students’participation in class is imbalanced; for teachers themselves, not only cannot teachers flip their roles successfully, but also their competences in making micro-videos are far from satisfactory; One of other problems touching teaching means is that current hardware environment cannot meet the demand. Finally, form the teaching angle and learning angle, it has been suggested that the teaching evaluation of flipped classroom should be the combination of formative assessment and summative assessment.In light of the present circumstances, there are several limitations which have bad effects on flipped classroom applied to high school English teaching. These limits are as follows:the lack of technical equipments, relatively traditional teaching ideals, the shortage of self-learning capacity, comparatively rigid evaluation means and differences of subject contents. Although there are still some problems in high school English flipped classroom, we are encouraged to believe that flipped classroom is very likely to be the trend of the development of high school English teaching in the near future.To sum up, high school English flipped classroom does achieve very much today, however, we do, in fact, have a long way to face these difficulties and shortcomings. In order to deepen the study of flipped classroom, the thesis looks forward to go on undertaking research on flipped classroom, so as to provide reference for ongoing flipped classroom or those teachers who are hesitating over flipped classroom, and to promote the development of high school English teaching.
