Flipped classroom, a new form of teaching mode, has raised a reform of education all over the world. Its characteristics that the teacher's guidance is after students' self-learning turn the learning habits of students from passive into active.What's more, flipped classroom makes the students as the center, pays attention to the personal development of the students, and emphasizes on the cultivation of the team's cooperation ability.Based on the Theory of Mastery Learning, Constructivist Learning Theory, and Blending Learning Theory, the study takes the flipped classroom as a case study to discuss the application of the flipped classroom in college English teaching, and to verify its effect. Furthermore, the study points out the problems that may occur in the process of the specific implementation, and analyzes the reasons for these problems,and put forward feasible countermeasures and suggestions in view of the problem, in order to improve the flaw of the traditional college English teaching, such as unitary contents, high cost with low efficiency and so on, to provide reference for front-line teachers and scholars.This study, which chooses the bachelor degree of Z University as the study case,uses the method of practice research, and draws the lesson from the successful cases and teaching designs at home and abroad. After the investigation and analysis on the course objectives and the characteristics of students, a six-week flipped classroom teaching experiment was designed and implemented. The study investigates the attitude and the satisfaction of the students and teacher towards the flipped classroom from the view of the student's expectation of flipped classroom, English learning attitude, and individual learning attitude, and the students' and teacher's evaluation of the traditional classroom and flipped classroom.The study found that flipped classroom improved the students' classroom participation and learning habits, and was supported and welcomed by the students as well as teachers. The study also found some problems, here are the some Suggestionsfor the specific problems in the process of implementing: First of all, students should increase confidence, actively respond to the new environment, improve the ability to learn, and cultivate the spirit of collaboration; Second, the technical team should be formed between the teachers and teacher collaboration should be increased; Third,college should have flexible curriculum, and actively improve the construction of the software and hardware equipment, and encourage teachers to try to use flipped classroom teaching mode.The study enriches the theory of the application of flipped classroom in college English teaching. At the same time, it provides reference for the departments of education and educational administration departments to formulate relevant policies, and also provides guidance and reference to the teachers to apply flipped classroom in teaching.
